Strikes

Kata Menuchi: Lapel grab and front hit to center of forehead

Mune Tsuki: Punch to chest

Shomenuchi: Front hit, overhand strike to center of forehead

Tsuki: Punch or lunge, aim for belt knot or hara

Yokomenuchi: Side hit, aim for side of neck

Grabs

Ai-hanmi Katatetori: Cross hand grab, e.g. left to left

Eritori: Same as Ushiro Eritori, collar

Gyaku-hanmi Katatetori: Straight hand grab, e.g. left to right

Katatetori: Grasp one hand, same as Gyaku-hanmi Katatetori

Katatetori Ryotemochi: Two hands grasp one hand, same as Morote-tori

Katatori: Shoulder or lapel gra

Morotetori: Two hands grasp one hand, forward hand on top

Ryokatatori: Grasp both lapels, or shoulders from front

Ryotetori: Grasp both hand

Ushiro Eritori: Grasp back of collar with one hand

Ushiro Hijitori: Grasp elbows from behind

Ushiro Katatori: Shoulders from behind, same as Ushiro Ryokatatori

Ushiro Kubishime: Grasp one hand and Choke from behind

Ushiro Ryokatatori: Grasp both shoulders from behind

Ushiro Ryotetori: Grasp both hands from behind

Ushiro Tekubitori: Grasp wrists from behind, same as Ushiro Ryotetori

Ushiro-tori: Bear hug from behind


Sankyo: Third technique, policeman's hold

Shihonage: Four corner throw, pivot then wrist to Uke's shoulder

Sumi Otoshi: Corner drop, like Tenchinage but under arm

Tenchinage: Heaven and earth throw, a type of Iriminage

Udekimenage: Arm lock throw, extend wrist down and shoulder up

Yonkyo: Forth technique, push on nerve

Techniques

Aiki Otoshi: Blending fall

Ashi Waza: leg technique, sweeps

Gokyo: Fifth technique, weapons defense

Ikkyo: First technique, root technique

Iriminage: Entering throw, head to shoulder then Tenkan

Jujinage: Tangled arms throw, cross at elbows then push

Kaitennage: Rotary throw, push arm behind back

Kata Osae: Shoulder pinning, cut across top of bent elbow

Kokyu dosa: Breathing exercise, Ki development

Kokyuho: Breath throw, extend arms across front of body

Kokyunage: Breath throw, momentum throw without joint lock

Koshinage: Hip throw, usually requires breakfall

Kotegaeshi: Wrist turn, thumb by base of ring-finger

Nikkyo: Second technique, big bird
